The Black Nights Stars programme is designed to support young acting talents with their international careers. During a full 3-day programme you will meet with international casting directors, agents, directors and producers and you will get access to new skills during the Black Nights Film Festival Discovery Campus Programme 2025.
An international jury of film professionals will select 8 candidates from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Poland.
The programme will take place as part of the Discovery Campus at the Black Nights Film Festival from 18 to 22 November 2025 in Tallinn, Estonia.

There you can create and submit your application. It consists of your complete and up-to-date e-TALENTA profile, including headshot and showreel scenes, a short written bio of yourself (How to write your bio), a video about “Why I want to become a Black Nights Star” and a monologue (max. 1 minute) for which a script will be provided.
- Age between 22 – 32 years old. Your age must be public on your profile.
- You are from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany or Poland.
- You played leading roles in a maximum of 3 films or tv-series since the last 3 years. (There is no limit with smaller supporting roles.)
- You are able to participate in the programme in Tallinn, Estonia from 18 – 22 November 2025 without any other commitments at the same time.
- You are able to communicate comfortably in English with international film professionals
- NB! The fee for the Discovery Campus Black Nights Stars programme is 250 Euro for the selected participant
- Selected participants must cover their own transportation fees to and from Tallinn, Estonia.
- Your accreditation and hotel is covered by the festival. We advise you to ask for assistance from your national film institute to cover the travel costs and participation fee.
- Due to the high number of applications, we will only contact the selected candidates by the end of June 2025.
