A European Vision

Since 2007, e-TALENTA has been connecting professional actors, actresses, agents and drama schools with casting directors, production companies, directors and coaches – worldwide. Our goals:

To give casting professionals the best possible access to actors in their own country and internationally

To empower actors, actresses and agents to proactively showcase themselves

To provide the most innovative technology, created to ensure a smooth, creative and transparent casting process

We work on a non-profit basis – exclusively in the interests of our members. Our primary goals are equal opportunities, transparency and visibility for actors. The platform is run professionally and to a high standard and is constantly being developed for and with our members.

The beginning

In 2007, e-TALENTA was born as a European idea. The renowned Italian/German casting director Beatrice Kruger started the initiative of building an international, multilingual casting platform, to connect professional filmmakers and acting talent from across Europe.

At the same time, in a garage in Munich

…Andreas Lademann and Andreas Dendorfer worked on an innovative casting tool. After graduating, they started producing showreels for actors. Unthinkable today: back then, the actors would send hundreds of DVDs or VHS tapes to casting directors and producers, via post and for large sums of money. To eliminate this was the vision of the now businessmen. Countless ideas were developed during this time, such as a better quality of online showreels and chaptering, which allowed showreels to be cut together again and again, without having to edit.

The merger

In 2012, the two companies merged. With CASTFORWARD’s inventiveness and e-TALENTA’s international network, something big was on the horizion…

Across the pond

Since 2018, e-TALENTA is the exclusive cooperation partner of Breakdown Services – Hollywood’s leading casting platform. Through the cooperation, the members of the Casting Society of America (CSA) as well as the big studios have direct access to all e-TALENTA members.

Virtual Casting

One of the latest innovations is launched: the Virtual Casting Studio.

Online video meetings are now tailor-made for castings.

Next to the classic online castings with self-tapes or a search tool, e-TALENTA now offers a feature that allows casting professionals and actors to interact live. The Virtual Casting Studio is much better suited to the casting situation than classic online meeting tools.

Since June 2024, our platform has been run without a commercial business model.

We work on a non-profit basis.

With the membership fees, we run the platform to cover costs and any surpluses are used for the benefit of equal opportunities, transparency and visibility for actors.

Europe’s casting platform

Today, almost all of the important European casting directors are members of e-TALENTA. But we will not rest. Constant development is in our DNA.

We want to give casting professionals more time for creativity and increasingly better ways of evolving and showcasing themselves to the actors, actresses and their agents.
